Our Story
Dick Rich Plumbing has been plumbing homes and businesses in Washington, Illinois since 1970. What started as a local plumbing shop has grown into the contractor that builders, business owners and homeowners across the greater Peoria area call when they want the job done right.
Today the company is owned by Mike Tanner and still operates from Washington, at 110 Ruth Court. The red-lettered trucks are the same idea they have always been: a local company, with its name on the side, that stands behind its work.

We love building. Plumbing a new home or building from underground to final is the work we are best at, and it is where our experience saves builders the most.

Businesses cannot wait on a plumber. We plan around your hours, coordinate with your contractor, and get the work inspected and done.

We keep our service area to about 25 miles around Washington, so we know the towns, the inspectors and the buildings — and we can actually get there.

Plumbing in Illinois is regulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health under the Illinois Plumbing License Law and the Illinois Plumbing Code, and our work is inspected by the local authority on every permitted job.
We install quality brands including A.O. Smith water heaters and Kohler and Delta fixtures, and we will always tell you straight what a job needs.
